Our client is a high-volume discount store looking to add a Buyer to their team.

Job Description:

• Ensure timely delivery of merchandise through consistent communication and follow-up with vendors and distribution center.
• Manage and project markdowns
• Analyze sales performance and make recommendations to maximize sales
• Strong retail math acumen, including elements of markup, margin planning and open to buy
• Communicate regularly with vendor and merchant community to achieve department goals.

Job Qualifications:

• 7-10 years experience buying for a major retailer
• Handbag buying experience A MUST
• Off-price experience is a plus
