Title:  PROJECT ENGINEER                                               Location:  Fort Lauderdale, Fl area

For over 75 years this global company has been designing, manufacturing and marketing industrial equipment for the cement, brick, mining, mineral, power, biomass, wood pulp and paper industries. Product line includes equipment for raw materials handling, designed to fit the specific needs of the clients, such as apron feeders, crushers, stackers (linear and circular), reclaimers (linear, circular and blending), ship loaders and un-loaders. They fabricate, assemble and test all machines. Benefits are outstanding.

Key responsibilities:

• New and revised project coordination- Interpreting, organizing, executing for large scale projects
• Directing, planning, coordinating and controlling specific area of assigned project(s).

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Working closely with US Project Managers and European based engineering departments
• Develop and update projects schedule from inception through final delivery of equipment
• Assist in preparation of manuals on assigned projects
• Prepare and issue Requests for Quotations, Purchase Requisitions, and Quotation Evaluations
• Inspect fabricated components for conformity to corporate quality standards
• Interface with clients and suppliers
• Review and issue equipment manuals prepared by others
• Travel to plant sites to evaluate installation progress as well as provide equipment-specific maintenance and operations training

Requirements and Job functions:

• ·B.S. in an engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical or controls preferred)
• ·5+ years of experience in heavy industrial handling equipment
• High proficiency in AutoCAD, with 3 D modeling software skills a plus
• Ability to interface with other cultures- Strong communication skills
• Spanish required
• Experience in preparing  technical calculations in equipment sizing and pile dimensioning
