Our client - a budding start-up that is profitable, growing, and going for a large round of financing to further enhance their IT infrastructure - is looking for a developer/specialist that is passionate for all things database.

Role:

You love data, databases and challenges. You get excited when you hear high velocity, big data, NoSQL and NewSQL (or others, like MongoDB, VoltDB, Vertica, etc). You're a DBA with a passion for problem solving, new technology and infastructures. You'll be:

• Managing all databases and the infrastructure
• Building a reporting platform
• Performance tuning dbs
• Optimizing queries
• Preparing for disasters

And you'll be doing all of this on AWS. Since you love wearing multiple hats, experience or a willingness to learn more about DevOps and system administration is important. Strong background in MySQL needed, but any experience in the latest "bleeding edge" technologies is ideal!
