EDI Mapper/Administrator (GENTRAN 5.2)

Seeking a GENTRAN EDI Mapper with at least 5+ years of EDI experience using a variety of Sterling products for a full time opportunity in the Irving TX area. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to create, edit and test an inbound and an outbound map during the interview process.

In this position you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining, as well as optimizing, E-Business strategies in order to provide high quality electronic data exchange systems with customers & suppliers. You will be charged with the programming & development of new EDI/B2B trading partner implementations as well as ongoing day-to-day maintenance of production EDI/B2B systems. The position also requires a weekly on-call support rotation.

To be successful you should have 5 years experience w/ EDI/B2B E-Commerce technologies & methodologies including the ability to document workflow and processes.

You should possess a strong Gentran Server for Windows background  along with database experience working with SQL and an ability to create views, indexes and stored procedures.

Candidate will have problem solving abilities and initiative taking abilities.  You will be able to work as a team and as an individual.  In this role you will be required to demonstrate strong business analysis skills, and communicate with business units independently and effectively.  Logic problem solving is a must.

The successful candidate will also have experience with various B2B formats, such as ANSI X12, TRADACOMS, EDIFACT and Flat File definitions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Developing new maps for customers/suppliers
• Responsible for updating map versions and editing
• Supports EDI department with changes needed in trading partners set ups
• Administers Databases (SQL, Access)
• Helps troubleshoot data errors from the system
• Helps to educate our internal departments on the functionality of EDI.
• Understands and helps develop EDI best practices.
• Helps automate processes from EDI-SAP interfaces

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelors Degree and 5+ years experience.

*Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered for the above.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

Knowledgeable of ASC X12 standards, Tradacoms and EDIfact standards.
