SUMMARY: Function:    Provides technical support in the evaluation, implementation and maintenance of the institution's information security technologies, standards and processes.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Researches, develops, implements and maintains security systems to ensure protection of institution's information resources. Participates in risk assessments to identify potential risks and security breaches. Assists with security incident responses, investigations and reporting. Advises departments on institutional policies, regulatory compliance, security best practices and providing training as required. Provides training to department personnel. Contributes to the development, implementation and maintenance of security standards and processes. Contributes to institution's disaster recovery program. Participates in inter-departmental and cross-functional working groups responsible for protecting institution's information assets. Develops and maintains documentation for all assigned projects.
EXPERIENCE: Required:    Two years of experience in one or more information security domains, to include managing security technologies and/or programs and developing information security standards and procedures. May substitute Master's degree in Information Security for required experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
