Job Summary:

Must have the ability to work different fields such as plumbing, electrical (high, medium, low voltage), HVAC, mechanical, power plant operation, repair and maintenance of boiler, chiller pumps controllers, emergency generators control air system and energy management computerized systems, nurse call system building infrastructure systems, tube system.  Must use computer skills to maintain records and the preventive maintenance system. Diagnose equipment problems and find solutions, work in confined spaces, ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and effectively communicate with others.  Independently determine the need for and perform repairs and related work on various systems.  Process purchase requisitions for repair parts and supplies.  Maintain work area in a neat, efficient and safe condition, clean up after each job and properly store items and/or equipment.  Must be aware of safety requirements and practices in everyday tasks, perform scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance and maintain service records. Job may include direct supervision of students at the discretion of the area supervisor. 

Requirements:

Degree in Engineering or similar field required
Back ground in electrical (high, medium low voltage), mechanical, power plant operation of ( boilers, chillers, Emergency generator, medical gas equipment ), medical gas systems, air handler units, air handler controls, automated energy management systems.  Person needs to know fire sprinkler and fire monitor systems, Building life safety systems. Computer educated. Familiar with regulatory requirements for testing and preventive maintenance of Fire Alarm Systems, and other building protection systems.
