POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director, Acute Care and Maternal Child Services is responsible for 24-hour coordination of patient care, supervision of personnel, and administrative activities of patient care service line. Responsible for education, safety, environment, Infection Control, materials and equipment, assistance to physicians and staff, regulatory compliance, and QI. Actively promotes teamwork and collaboration between departments.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Current registration as an RN in the State of Washington; Masters Degree required in Nursing, Business or related field. Additional management education, certification or experience may substitute for the Masters Degree.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
Current RN registration in the State of Washington.
BLS certified
CONTINUING EDUCATION & COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:
Continuing education & license renewal required annually. Must attend yearly YED and other requirements as determined by who they report to.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum of two years each, management and clinical experience required in Acute Care and Maternal Child Services.

Knowledge of a variety of federal and state regulations
Knowledge of business processes and practices
Broad understanding of the hospital industry
Knowledge of appropriate patient care procedures
