Software Company is actively seeking a sharp self-starter who is an expert client-side developer of web applications.  Must write clean, efficient, and well documented code.  This is an established company with a solid reputation. 

You will be using JavaScript and Flex Framework (ActionScript) to maintain and advance their suite of client-side data visualization applications.  These applications include vector-based maps, integrated dashboards, and a wide variety of charts.  Our client is beginning to port their data visualization suite from Flex to HTML5, so you will have the opportunity to build a new JavaScript/HTML5 codebase from scratch.

Duties:

- Work independently with direction from CTO and Lead Developer

- Utilize Adobe Flex and ActionScript to maintain and enhance a robust set of client-side data visualization tools.

- Utilize HTML5 and JavaScript to build up a new suite of mapping, charting, and dashboarding tools.

- Develop, document, and test your code in several web browsers, and resolve any problems found during testing.

- Estimate development time and help establish project milestones.

- Evaluate specifications and set expectations for planning application development.

- Analyze proposed designs, identify constraints and technical issues;

Required Skills/Qualifications:

- 2+ years of JavaScript experience.

- 2+ years of Flex/ActionScript experience.

- Strong analytical ability, problem solving, quality focus, software development process.

- Self-motivated and able to work independently with little or no supervision.

- Strong Communication Skills

Preferred Skills:

Javascript, Adobe Flash/Flex, HTML5, jQuery, ActionScript 3
