Summary Ask.com is expanding its global footprint and now has a presence in 25 countries. We are looking for native language speakers of German, French, Italian, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian with a passion for the Internet to help evaluate and improve our foreign language sites. This is an 8 week contract position, the work will include site evaluation, translation, market research and language analysis. It is a great opportunity to gain practical skills and contribute to Ask.com’s international business.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate Ask.com’s site experience in foreign languages and make recommendations for improvements.
- Conduct market research to help inform business and product development efforts.
- Contribute to process improvements for localization.
- Help translate marketing materials and localize UIs.
- Conduct various language analyses.
- Assist with other localization projects.
Required Experience and Skills
- Native speaker of German, French, Italian, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese or Russian.
- Passion for the Internet, technology and global markets.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High school diploma. College students and college graduates are welcome to apply for this part-time role.
- Linguistics, foreign language and social science majors preferred.
