Websphere Portal Architect

This position works collaboratively with a team of software developers to create commercially available software products that meet specified standards and requirements. These products are sold in a Software as a Service (SaaS) model to hospitals and other healthcare sites to assist in improving clinical outcomes, reducing waste and preparing for new methods of delivering care as required by health reform.

Key Accountabilities:

: Develop, evolve and maintain the portal architecture with the development of new products and enhancement and maintenance of existing products

: Writes code and assists in development of new products and enhances and maintains existing products

: Analyzes and addresses requirements in product design

: Estimates work effort

: Creates and executes unit test cases (both automated and manual)

: Provides support to resolve customer issues, perform debugging, and create patches

: Constant collaboration with the software release team

: Provide technical leadership and support for the implementation of the portal architecture

: Contributes as both an individual contributor and mentor

: Stays current with industry trends in best practices and technology : Ensures process improvement opportunities are implemented Required Qualifications:

Top 3-5 must have skills:

: Demonstrated experience working with a multidisciplinary team in the development of web-based commercial software - greenfield and/or brownfield

: Demonstrated experience with software development tools including Java, JavaScript, Rational Application Developer, IBM WebSphere Portal, Subversion and Hudson

: Demonstrated experience with web based service architecture and application development

: Demonstrated experience with unit test methodologies and tools

: Demonstrated experience with automated build and continuous integration

: Demonstrated experience with Agile Development methodologies
