Project Manager

The Construction and Engineering Division of The Design Group in partnership with our client: A full service Construction Design and Project Management consulting firm who has an exclusive arrangement with an industry leader is currently searching for a Senior level Project Manager based in Calgary, AB

Job Duties:

• Overseeing the project planning, design, commissioning, estimating and scheduling for major projects in the petroleum industry
• Reviewing and editing the required documents that go for funding from the clients  
• Managing the business process between the client and the firm
• Focus on identifiying scope of work for construction and development  projects for their facilities in operation
• Contract negotiation and coordination with legal, environmental and risk management
• Overseeing the selection of the contractor through the bid process
• Monitor performance of contractor throughout the project

Qualifications:

• Practicing Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with APEGA
• 15 years+ experience with Civil Construction and Project Management
• PMP Designation would be considered an asset
• Background of Mechanical or Electrical or Civil Structural Engineering
• Strong knowledge of Estimating, Scheduling, Commissioning of projects
• Strong business accumen
• Strong communication skills; both oral, written and presentation
• Knowledge of the Petroleum industry would be considered an asset
