MOTHER BABY CARE/ LABOR & DELIVERY/ POST PARTUME / NEWBORN CARE

Job Summary:

Responsible for the delivery of patient care that promotes safety and well-being of all patients in the Mother Baby Care Unit on a twenty-four hour basis.  Plans, directs, coordinates and evaluates the overall clinical nursing practice and administrative activities, including fiscal, material and human resource management. 
Participates in the development and implementation of hospital policies and procedures.  Maintains open communication with all staff to promote improvement in performance.  This position requires a sound knowledge of nursing practice and exceptional leadership abilities.

Average 215 deliveries per year

Requirements:
 
Licensure in the State of Ohio as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN)
Bachelor or Science degree in Nursing or related field desired or will start classes to obtain and complete within 5 years of start date. Clinical specialty and/or nursing administration certification desired.  
Minimum of two (2) years experience in a front-line leadership acute role coupled with three (3) years clinical nursing experience required.
