Active Directory Consultant

 

7/16 start date, 6 – 12 Month Contract

Location:  Dallas, TX or Atlanta, GA

Client: One of the largest professional services networks in the world and one of the Big Four Auditors


Tech
nical Skills

  • Minimum 10 years IT engineering experience on multiple platforms / technologies
  • Minimum 5 years experience installing and supporting Microsoft Server technologies
  • Minimum 5 years experience with Active Directory
    • Trouble shooting database corruption
    • Trouble shooting replication issues
    • Trouble shooting device connection issues
    • Troubleshooting domain controller issues
    • Solid understanding of Group Policies
    • Understanding of Microsoft Certificate Services
    • Understanding of recovery mangement for Active Directory
  • Working knowledge of integrating Microsoft Directory services with other technologies:
  • Understanding of Microsoft DNS and BIND
  • Understanding of Microsoft DHCP with other then Microsoft clients
  • Understanding Firewall usage with Microsoft directory services
  • Minimum 3 years scripting experience (VBScript or PowerShell preferred
  • Education: AAS, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems, and/or equivalent formal training or work experience.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide support for Active Directory in development and production environments
  • Provide support documentation for Active Directory and supporting services
  • Mentor and develop members on Active Directory and Microsoft infrastructure
  • Support authentication and authorization services provided for COTS applications as well as internally developed applications
  • Work with application teams to integrate applications with security infrastructure
  • Support on-call pager rotation
  • Work with application owners to resolve security vulnerabilities, providing technical instruction on vulnerability resolution.

Environment

  • Work within the Technology Department Information Security Services Team, consisting of some two dozen engineers, analysts, and project management professionals.
  • Individual contributor role focused primarily on threat and vulnerability management activities
