Join a growing facility in the Ft. Lauderdale area as a Director of Telemetry! This 215-bed medical center continues to expand and integrate the latest technology into patient care. Cardiac services, oncology, neurosurgery and The Spine Institute - these are just a few of the areas in this hospital excels!
Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, this individual will direct and manage the operations and activities of a 48 bed Cardiac and Respiratory Telemetry unit with a Stroke emphasis.

Responsibilities Include:

-Oversee successful daily department operations to achieve quality improvement, fiscal productivity and patient satisfaction goals/objectives 
-Supervise staff including performance and departmental accomplishments to meet facility and regulatory requirements
-Promote teamwork with physicians and all health care providers
-Act as a liaison with patients and their representatives, physicians and employees to ensure high-quality patient care
-Manage unit supplies and equipment to maximize productivity and minimize costs
-Interfaces with the nursing schools and participates in curriculum development and  provides clinical instructors when resources available
-Serves as a preceptor for students in graduate nursing programs
 
Requirements:
 
-Master's Degree required (can be in process); MSN preferred
-Current State of Florida RN Licensure
-Current CPR - Course C, BCLS, ACLS certifications
-Must have 5+ years current/recent managerial experience in an acute care setting with one or more units  
-Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills required
-Able to work in a fast-paced environment
-Knowledge of guidelines and requirements for applicable Regulatory agencies such as JCAHO, AHCA, OSHA
