Job Summary:
|
Establishes and promotes safe and healthy working conditions, and recommends measures to reduce or eliminate industrial accident and health hazards in compliance with OSHA regulations. Oversees all environmental permitting, testing, reporting and compliance associated with the facility, processes or projects. |
Responsibilities Include:
|
Establishing safe work practices for all associates. This includes writing, reviewing and providing training through Job Hazard Analysis. Administer safety training to all Associates for general awareness and as needed for specific duties. This includes but it not limited to mobile equipment, lock-out/tag-out, confined space entry, CPR/First Aid and Arc Flash. Secure any permitting needed to operate production at this facility such as waste water discharge permit and air permits. Proper disposal and documentation of all residual, hazardous, recyclable and other waste streams. Ensure accurate and on time reporting as required by permit, policy or government authority. Determination and availability of proper PPE. Instill a culture that prioritizes safety and environmental consciousness in all departments. Investigate any accidents and incidents that may occur. Identify corrective actions and the resources needed to complete them. Ensure timely completion of the corrective actions. Report to management on department metrics, regulatory reporting and the status quo of EHS Complete all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
|
Bachelor’s degree in Safety and Environmental Management or similar degree Good interpersonal communication skills Experience in a manufacturing or construction environment |
