An exciting small start-up in New York City with a great work culture is hiring for a talented Mid-Level Front-end Developer with UI/UX design skills to lead a development team.

Requirements:

• in-depth understanding of technologies HTML/XHTML, CSS, jQuery/JavaScript

• Build in UI/UX best practices and good design into everything you create

• A thorough understanding of web standards

• A strong attention to detail.

• Knowledgeable about cross-browser issues and how to fix them

• strong communications skills including some editing skills (e.g., ability to follow style guide rules, recognize deviations from established style guide, and make corrections) and some writing skills (e.g., metadata descriptions, teasers, documentation).

Additional Skills:

• Demonstrate coding skills

• Keen eye for effective and usable web design

• Work well with a tightly integrated team

• Ability to explain technical processes to non-technical individuals

• detail-oriented

• Execute quickly and efficiently under tight deadlines
