Follett Higher Education is seeking a .NET Programmer Analyst in the Higher Education Group to create and modify internal applications, operating, and database systems.   This is a full time, direct hire, and internal role in Westmont, IL.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• ·         Codes, tests, modifies, and documents system software, ensuring optimum efficiency
• ·         Verifies, reports, and resolves defects and potential problems
• ·         Prepares detailed specifications for writing programs
• ·         Modify, repair, and expand existing programs, applications, and systems to correct errors, increase efficiency, and upgrade interfaces
• ·         Analyze system complexity, prepare feasibility studies that specify solutions, and identify costs
• ·         Prepare user and application documentation for new and revised system implementation and performance
• ·         Research and remain informed of new technology and development tools

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• ·         3 - 9 years related experience with previous programming and/or systems analysis.
• ·         VB.Net, SQL Server and .NET development/programming
• ·         Visual Studio and WinForms development experience
• ·         Proven experience developing webservices and windowservices
• ·         Proven ability to develop complex, high volume transactional applications
• ·         Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS PREFERED:

• ·         Data Warehousing, wholesale or retail applications experience
• ·         Advanced degree in a relevant field
