Global Fortune 500 in Chicago, IL  seeks a Category Manager to join their purchasing department. 

Develop sourcing strategy to meet the needs of internal customers and stakeholders.  Analyze category spend to initiate restructuring of vendor base to achieve cost savings goals.  Evaluate current suppliers and prospect new suppliers.  Analyze costing to gain best product value.  Seek continuous improvement for all products within assigned product categories.

Looking for a highly analytic mindset with global sourcing experience.  Must have strong negotiating skills and a strategic focus opposed to a tactical.
