Project Analyst/Coordinator (closed)
Perform basic project management tasks for relatively simple projects, and provide analytical and project management support to a Project Manager on one or more moderate to large complex projects. Lead and/or monitor activities on simply to moderate projects and serves as the administrative point of contact to all areas impacted by projects including business owners, systems management and other stakeholders. Prepares and maintains documentation and helps prepare/distribute periodic project status reports. Adheres to PMI-based project management (TPM), and uses established best practices in order to ensure delivery of project goals and objectives, milestones and deliverables, as well as assures compliance with all project management processes.
Scope of Authority:
Receives direction from Manager or Project Manager

1. Assists the project manager in developing a detailed project plan and Project Charter that clearly defines the scope definition, work breakdown structure and scope change control processes; and tracks changes. |

2. Assists the Project Manager in developing plans, estimates, budgets and controlling costs to ensure that the assigned project is completed within the approved budget with minimal variance using systems, tools and reports to monitor and manage the project's financial health. |

3. Works with technical resources and all stakeholders to assess and track project deliverables, to meet all security and quality objectives for which it is undertaken through comprehensive design analysis, development and testing of all components. |

4. Assists the Project Manager with organizing and managing the project team by using planning and activities requirements to estimate and acquire project resources, assign tasks, and manage and hold accountable each resources on the team to the level of participation required. |

5. Assists the Project Manager with coordinating and participating in meetings to discuss completed work, work flows, interdependencies, etc. Helps to identify areas that could benefit from further analytical study, and contributes to the project management knowledge base by sharing lessons learned, best practices or research in recurring departmental meetings. |

6. Follows the project life cycle processes and ensures all pertinent documentation is submitted to gain approval to move the project form one phase to the next. Obtains final acceptance of deliverables by obtaining formal approval from appropriate stakeholders to achieve project close-out. |

7. Facilitates resolution of time critical technical or scheduling issues that require cross-departmental resources (e.g., resolution of global issues, cross organizational impacts, etc.), and promotes decision-making or escalates to appropriate management level as required. Assists in resolution of differences or problems between individuals, departments or groups on assigned projects and mediate or escalate as necessary to minimize disruption among the project team that may impede project progress. |
Required: 2+ years experience working within a formalized IT project management environment as either a project expediter, project coordinator or project analyst. Familiarity with PMBOK and best project management practices.
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree, with a major in Information Systems Management, Business Management or related field and/or PMP certified.

6. Self Management: Self-starter with initiative, follow through, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in meeting various project and cost related deadlines and milestones.
