Job Title: MedSurg Nurse Manager

Location: North Central Minnesota

Qualifications:

-          Current RN license

-          BSN degree required or in progress (no Associate’s Degree candidates accepted)

-          3+ years’ management experience

-          Previous MedSurg experience required

Job Summary:

The Nurse Manager is a registered nurse with expert knowledge and clinical skill who will oversee the clinical day to day operations of the department to ensure quality and compliance of all policies, procedures, and regulatory agencies. Responsible for the development, adjustments and distribution of employee schedules. Other duties expected within this role include, but are not limited to: communicating with employees, physicians, patients/families, and other healthcare team members; rounding on patients, ensuring quality care issues are addressed; mentoring of employees including providing education and support; assisting with on-going employee performance management; facilitating conflict resolution solutions with employees, physicians, patients/families and other healthcare team members.  Monitors all budget related activities and assists with the interviewing, hiring, orienting, counseling, educating, disciplining and termination of employees. Covers for the director in their absence.
