Job Description
Project Manager
The Project Manager provides project management oversight and directly influences activities on business critical projects from conceptual phase through implementation.  Serves as single point of contact and interfaces with all areas affected by projects including business owners and System management on behalf of project owner.  Ensures goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame, within budgeted expenses allocated.  Adheres to PMI-based project management methodology. Uses established best practices in order to ensure delivery of project goals and objectives, milestones and deliverables, as well as assures compliance.  Assures steadfast accomplishment of objectives to bring project plans to completion in line with business objectives.
 
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Bachelor's degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and job-related experience equal to 5-7 years.  PMP certification preferred.
Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Clarity, Sharepoint, etc.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office with experience using Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
 
Additional Skill Requirements
•           Advance knowledge and use of formal project management methodology and application of the PMBOK
•           Follows the project life cycle processes and ensures all pertinent documentation is submitted to gain approval to move the project from one phase to the next
•           Provides leadership and motivation to project team members through the project life cycle in support of business plans and customer initiative
•           Proactively identifies, manages and escalates, as needed, issues associated with the project
•           Generates timely and appropriate communications to project stakeholders
•           Plans, estimates, budgets and controls cost to ensure project is completed within the approved budget with minimal variance using the Clarity tool and reports to monitor and manage the project’s financials
•           Experience with project management planning tools such as Microsoft Project, Clarity, Sharepoint, etc.
•           Advanced skills in Microsoft Office with experience using Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
•           Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
