Release Engineer

Our client is seeking to hire a Mid-level (2 to 5 years of experience) Software Engineer to standardize and improve their release processes. This position will be part of the product development team responsible for design, development, testing and release of all customer-facing and internal applications, APIsand partner integrations.
Responsibilities
Work with development team to support and improve release processes across several product lines. This will include developing and maintaining the organizations software build processes and moving the organization to a Continuous Integration work flow. Additionally this role also may require some work assisting the QA team with application testing.
Requirements
• Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle • Thorough knowledge of Linux • Experience with Software Configurations Management tools such as Mercurial and Git preferred • Understanding of build and release strategies in a LAMP environment • Ability to build and maintain the continuous integration environment • Innovative problem solving skills • Ability to communicate effectively • Ability to work under minimal supervision • Understanding of Agile methodologies
Helpful skills
• Experience with MySQL and database scripting • Knowledge of open source content management systems such as Drupal
