Sales Manager - Engineered Systems

Our client, a leader in the design and manufacturing of industrial heating and filtration solutions based in Oakville, is currently searching for a Sales Manager for Engineered Systems .

Working as a team lead to 4 applications engineering specialists you will be involved in design review, proposal, RFQs and provide engineering support.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the group of 4 application engineers and application specialists.
• Review design specifications and documents from request for quotations (RFQ's) of engineered systems related to process systems involving heating and/or filtration equipment.
• Develop conceptual design of engineered systems and/or applications pertaining to RFQs.
• Cost estimation related to engineered applications
• Develop sales proposals and strategies in response to RFQs
• Oversee the execution of project work in a contract administration role for engineered sales jobs.
• Perform evaluation of processes and/or designs to propose modifications, improvements, and alternate solutions as required by clients or internal departments.
• Provide technical assistance in response to customer inquiries and to internal departments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• University degree at bachelor’s level as a minimum. Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or alternate engineering degree with experience in process engineering.
• Experience in an industrial process industry such as oil and gas, and/or petrochemical.
• Process engineering design skills.
• 7 – 10 years of experience in an industrial process industry such as oil and gas, and/or petrochemical.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to identify potential problems and resolve problems diplomatically
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload.
• License Professional engineer accreditation desired but not required.
