Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: 

The Director, Ambulatory EMR is the director responsible for providing the day-to-day application services and IT operations related to the EMR clinical systems including but not limited to:  Ambulatory EMR.  This department is functionally aligned with Chief of Staffs, CNE, Physicians, Allied Health, IT Education, Nursing, and other leadership positions. 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* 5 Years within IT

* 5 years experience in Hospital / Healthcare , or major corporation IT setting with multiple locations and $50M budget

* 3 years hands on experience managing portfolio of applications and managing the full application lifecycle (implementation, support, and retirement)

* 3 years experience with EMR systems, preferably Epic with at minimum 1 implementations or upgrades

* 3 years minimum experience in IT Services (ITIL, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodology)

* Min. 3 years experience managing a Epic Program solution for the full CPOE lifecycle

* Experience with Business Objects for BI is preferred

* Experience developing and managing EMR strategy, governance and support models for business systems
