We are looking for an Application Sales/Engineer that is looking to grow their career, be part of a team, and solve critical issues/problems for our business. The candidate should be self-motivated, strong communication skills, and have previous experience in a automation environment!

Interaction with customers and internal contacts to define and develop hardware solutions that meet customer requirements. Experience applying industry knowledge to develop automation cells that include standard and custom designed automation products.

 Facilitate the preparation of commercial proposals to customers for custom automation solutions for part manipulation, part finishing and trimming, insert handling and placement, and packaging applications.

 Preparing system concept layout through the application of standard products, part manipulation tools, control fixtures, equipment guards and material handling conveyors.

 Experience estimating custom equipment and tooling costs. Understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment assembly along with component machining and fabrication methods.

 Responsible for the final integrity of the system design and costing. Insuring proper operation of mechanical equipment and electrical controls system through troubleshooting, in-house testing and post shipment evaluations.

 Facilitate the technology transfer between France and US for standard and advanced automation products. Coordinate documentation for product solutions as reference for future application.

 Travel to customer sites with  Representative to assist with the selling, data collection and proposal presentation efforts.

 Participating in a team environment with the ability to analyze problems quickly, development of corrective actions, and be able to effectively communicate solutions across multiple levels.

 Providing support to the sales, engineering, and service installation groups through direct presentations and engineering documentation.

The position requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience. Additionally four to eight years of equipment application experience in an industrial equipment environment, preferably within the automation environment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products and Autocad design software. Strong Verbal / Written Communication Skills.
