Convergenz currently has an opening for a Senior Systems Engineer specializing in Business Intelligence and ETL Middleware.  The candidate must be willing to work as part of a group to meet team goals, yet complete large tasks independently.  The working environment is a fast-paced and requires people who can multitask, understand priorities, and pay attention to details.

Required Skills

•             Expertise implementing and administering Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) specifically:

o             Ability to evaluate custom application designs for proper incorporation of BI technologies

o             Ability to install and configure all aspects of the OBIEE suite including clustering, SSO, and the underlying WebLogic container

o             Ability to provide enterprise class monitoring for OBIEE solutions

o             Familiarity with OBIEE application development in order to facilitate interacting with various diverse development teams

o             Familiarity with standard software development lifecycles in order to aid development teams production custom solutions based on OBIEE

•             Expertise implementing and administering Oracle Enterprise Performance Management suite, specifically Essbase, and incorporating Essbase into BI solutions

•             Demonstrated knowledge of Enterprise Java technologies, including:

o             Familiarity with at least one Java application container, preferably IBM WebSphere Application Server

•             Ability to install complex, web-based applications into various functional environments (including Production) and perform advanced troubleshooting analysis and take corrective action in a timely fashion.  This would include, but not be limited to:

o             Experience interpreting abstract error messages or logs in order to complete problem resolution

o             Understanding enterprise architecture to diagnose problems that might extend outside of the application server

o             Document and explain problems in a logical, consistent, coherent manner in order to present findings to management

•             Ability to evaluate COTS and custom application designs for compatibility with enterprise application hosting standards

•             Ability to research and learn unfamiliar technologies in an efficient and effective manner

•             Willingness to support 24/7 production environment

Desired Skills

•             Experience performing administrative tasks within Informatica Power Center

•             Experience working in an enterprise data warehousing environment

•             Knowledge of Windows 2003/2008 Server operating systems

•             Knowledge of Linux Operating Systems

•             Working knowledge of enterprise level database functionality, preferable Oracle

•             Understanding of basic networking concepts

•             Ability to lift light (40 pound) loads

•             Experience with WebSphere components, specifically WebSphere Process Server, WebSphere MQ, WebSphere DataPower
