Software QA Specialist (closed)
Our client in St. Petersburg, FL is currently seeking a Software QA Specialist for a 6 month contract opening.
The right candidate will possess the following skills/experience:
Experience with problem solving while executing software and integration testing ( i.e., data verification for integrated systems and analyze
Understand the testing needs to identify cause and effect of both functional and integration testing
Understand database relationships and impact on SQA testing for features as well as dashboard and reporting functionality.
Experience with applying risk-based testing or analysis a plus
Clear understanding of the SQA role in the Software Development Life Cycle
Experience with HP Quality Center or similar test case, requirement, defect tracking application, preferred
Experience with general MS tools, (i.e., word, excel, etc.) preferred
Experience with product quality and customer satisfaction
Ability to work independently and with a team essential
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Attend and participate in project-level design reviews, development walkthroughs and customer meetings to understand functional design and system changes
Participate in requirement reviews and create test plan as meeting output
Develop and execute manual test plans for wide range of application, from low to high complexity
Generate test data and recognize test environment preparation needs
Provide timeline information about SQA and control tasks
Participate in project team to ensure timely project delivery.
Responsible for not only testing but product delivery for customer satisfaction, assuring delivered quality level
Ensure SQA meets regulatory compliance for ISO-13485, ISO-9001, ISO-9100 and assures application used for medical manufacturing/processes meet 21 CFR Part 11 and ISO-13485 compliance
Communicate quality assurance and control processes to all team members
Collect quality data for project metrics
Share process improvements for SQA, product and project quality and reliability though out the Operation Solution Groups software development life cycle.
Participate in the exchange of ideas and information within the SQA department and OSG organization.
Organize verbal and written ideas clearly and use an appropriate business style.
Possibly engage in automated testing long term
Job Requirements
Bachelor'ss Degree in computer science or related discipline.
3 or more years of experience in quality control assurance and testing or equivalent combination of work experiences.
