THE COMPANY

Stellar Recruitment has partnered with a privately-owned exploration and production company which has been in operations for nearly three decades in Calgary, Alberta. They have a staff of 100 and a daily production of ~20,000BOE. Due to a high-growth, acquisition period they are looking to appoint a Geologist to their multi-disciplined team.

THE POSITION

The Sr. Geologist position will report to the Chief Geologist and be responsible for:

• Optimally developing and growing interest in their mineral title lands
• Integrate geological data into field evaluation and development
• Conduct in-depth geological evaluations and present to team
• Identify seismic prospects and develop the project procedures
• Contribute to geological reserves evaluations and budgeting
• Provide geological risk analysis for commercial evaluations
• Recognize and recommend new acquisition opportunities
• Work on a multi-disciplined team to achieve company goals

THE QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors of Science in Geology (Masters of Science preferred)
• 10+ years of oil & gas geological experience on Canadian Basins
• Membership with APEGGA and a P. Geo. Designation is a plus
• Experience with horizontal well development in unconventional assets
