Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 4-6 years experience in managing Microsoft Active Directory infrastructure; Microsoft Certification preferred
- 2-4 years experience managing Microsoft Exchange server, SQL, and Oracle database administration
- 2-4 years enterprise network management experience
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and policy management
- Knowledge of capacity, characteristics, capabilities, and limitations of Windows, Linux, and Cisco operating systems, hardware, software and peripheral equipment
- In-depth knowledge of network architectures and TCP/IP
- Ability to troubleshoot advanced hardware and software problems, and to secure appropriate support
- Budget analysis and preparation skills, to include the ability to make cost projections and justifications
- Ability to analyze complex problems, make recommendations and implement strategies for continued effective use of automated resources
- Ability to manage and lead others to achieve desired results
- Solid oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Duties Include:
|
|
- Lead a team of System Support Specialists and manage the client-server environment
- Leads a team of network specialist and manages the enterprise network
- Manage all aspects of the Microsoft Active Directory environment to ensure accuracy and integrity of use accounts, group memberships, computer accounts and related controls
- Ensure all aspects of Active Directory are aligned with the security framework
- Troubleshoot and resolve all issues related to Active Directory and underlying software modules, and security controls
- Manage vendor application releases and maintenance patches; Coordinate testing with end users
- Managers all networking infrastructure including routers, switches, and network security appliances
- Manages the VOPI infrastructure
- Manage network shared folders and directories on all servers
- Manage user access controls and privilege rights to shared folders and directories as directed by IT Management and business managers
- Maintain user group policies as approved by IT Management
- Monitors and reports on all security privileges and access violations
- Administers network printer services for the enterprise, to include security and access controls
- Oversee systems administration tasks such as operating systems upgrades, hardware support and patch management
- Coordinate server backup strategies and backup integrity with Data Center Services
- Maintain an effective patch management program to minimize vulnerabilities
- Manage network services and monitoring of DNS, WINS, DHCP, and other critical services to include disk space and event logs. Analyzes event logs and takes appropriate action to mitigate any risk that could impact security or system availability
- Oversee the management of Exchange server and Symantec virus controls
- Manage technical support to hardware and software application systems to include after hours support as needed
- Coordinate the installation and technical support of 3rd party software systems
- Coordinates technical issues with 3rd party providers and resolves problems in a timely manner
- Coordinates work with other IT managers and staff as needed
- Maintain accurate configuration and documentation for the enterprise network, all server configurations, operating systems and 3rd party application systems
- Ensures operational documentation, policies and procedures are current
- Maintain an effective disaster recovery plan to ensure business continuity and mission critical system access; Test the disaster recovery plan annually and report results to management
- Manages activities of staff to achieve established goals
- Ensure department is adequately staffed and equipped; Select new employees, recommend salary increases, promotions, and disciplinary action; Set performance standards, give clear direction, delegate and schedule work
- Monitor performance, gives performance feedback and conducts performance appraisals
- Train, coach, counsel and provide direction and guidance
- Produce and analyze monthly statistical reports on resource time allocation
- Provide data for the annual budget for both capital and operating expenses
- Represent the department on various committee assignments as requested; complete special projects as assigned.
