Primary responsibilities of the CEO will be to provide direction and administration of all aspects of hospital activities to ensure quality patient care and an appropriate financial return. He/she will represent and support the organization in dealings with the community, Board of Trustees, medical staffs and employees of the facility.

As CEO, the incumbent has overall accountability and comprehensive decision-making authority over the hospital. Administrative prerogatives in interpreting and modifying policy is also broad, requiring a highly developed depth of knowledge, experience, analytical and problem-solving skills. The position also participates with other members of the senior management staff in identifying area-wide goals and strategic plans.

The accountability of this position is to ensure high quality health care is delivered which meets or exceeds set standards while maintaining a reasonable cost structure. The CEO is responsible for ensuring compliance with hospital, governmental, TJC, and management expectations.

Qualified candidates must have:

• A MBA or MHA is required
• 5+ years of CEO experience in a for-profit, acute care hospital with 200+ beds
• 10 years of hospital operations management experience
• 5-7 years of physician relations experience
