Job Description

LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY

The Quality Technician is responsible for the product returns and repairs process, scheduling and tracking calibrations, conducting investigations for product non-conformities, complaints, NCR’s, performing test protocolas, conducting quality inspections, internal audits, and supporting the Quality Management System (QMS).

Essential Responsibilities

  • Maintain control over documents using the Companys database
  • Ensure quality control policies and procedures are documented and followed
  • Recomends modifications of existing Quality or Production Standards to achieve optimum quality within linits of process capability
  • Provide training to manufacturing personnel of Company QMS Standards and Procedures
  • Verify product meets specifications using a variety of gages and equipment
  • Records data and applies statistical control techniques to analyze data and generate reports
  • Performs Calibration of equipment and gages and is reponsible for the Calibration System
  • Respond to a variety of quality or complience issues in need of resolution or improvement
  • Performs audits of quality systems, and performs and tracks follow-up activities to close out findings and measure improvements in a timely manner
  • Manages the NCR system to ensure timely resolution of findings
  • Cooperative interface with al levels of personnel including the customeris a must for resolving a variety of issues

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Associates Degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with at least 4 years of manufacturing experience with a strong focus on Quality in a machining environment)

Desired Characteristics

  • Ability to read and follow written instructions, analyze, and interpret working drawings, technical specifications, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience with Quality Control Plans and the Quality Control Process is required
  • Must possess a team player mindset with the willingness to accept new challenges including cross training to assist in other Quality Control duties
  • Prior experience with calibrating equipment, operating a CMM, and performing audits of a quality system
  • Familiarity with ISO and TS Standards
  • Strong data collection and analysis skills
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Demonstrated oral and written skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Lean manufacturing experience
  • ASQ Certification desired
