Project Engineer is responsible for quoting, technical, schedule, and cost execution of both development and production programs. Specifically, the PE is responsible for development and maintenance of the program technical objectives and plans, engineering staffing plans, the schedule for the technical effort, review and approval of technical designs and engineering work products, and providing the primary technical interface with the customer, other GDATP functional organizations and management.
The PE is responsible for leading and coordinating a cross functional team including design, manufacturing, tooling and quality engineers to achieve program objectives. Responsibilities also include close integration with operations to ensure that product is fabricated compliant to the technical data package in a time frame consistent with program schedule requirements. The PE must also work closely with procurement to ensure that compliant materials are available to support the program fabrication schedule. The PE must also build strong working relationships with the Customer in order to communicate program results and to concurrently work through any technical, budget or schedule issues that arise.
The PE will manage project from beginning to delivery, meeting objectives of on time, on budget and to customer specifications.
6-8 years experience
Customer oriented, objective/outcome-oriented individual with desire and ability to lead project teams working concurrently to achieve overall program objectives. Self motivated with good problem solving skills.
