Financial Analyst - Bi-lingual Spanish a must
My client is seeking a Financial Analyst for their operation in Phoenix, Arizona. This position reports to the North America Region's Project Accounting Manager with an indirect reporting line to the Zone Manager. This role is a critical function that will ensure project accounting accuracy, provide project performance analysis and reporting, report and analyze financial results and partner with zone management in forecasting and planning business performance.
The position requires the ability to effectively coordinate with the Zone Manager, Region FP&A team, operations and commercial teams, and administrative staff. Attention to detail, an understanding of project accounting and the ability to clearly and effectively communicate will enable this person be successful. Our company views this role as a key position that is part of the zone management team to build profitability and value in its M&E business unit.
Responsibilities include:
Ensure proper project accounting processes are in place and followed
Month-end close tasks and entries are complete
Projects and related costs are accurately stated in financial statements
Provide analysis and reporting on project performance and monthly financial results
Ensure projects and related budgets are properly set up in Oracle Projects Revenue recognition is accurate and aligns with the contract terms/conditions
Ensure coordination of the zone office with other corporate functions (AP, AR, Payroll, Accounting, Legal, etc.) Partner with zone team members to establish metrics, forecasts and budgets
Work with Fleet Manager to track and report capital spend (CapEx) and place assets in service Provide analysis of inventory and accounts receivable performance and help zone team members improve cash flow
This role will interact routinely with the company's Zone and Region management.
Required Skills:
Excellent and professional communication via phone and email, Interest in and ability to learn Oracle modules (projects, GL, fixed assets, etc.) Advanced knowledge of Excel Ability to work with large amounts of complex data and multiple scenarios Bilingual in English and Spanish
Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or Business related discipline Accounting designation would be considered an asset
