Summary:

Our client is a start up software company that is looking to add the role of Vice President of Engineering/iOS Team Lead to its expanding team. The ideal candidate should have experience building a technical team at a growing start up with a user base growth from a few thousand to at least a million users within their tenure. iOS development experience on all tiers and automated testing experience.

Responsibilities Include:

• Contribute to the architecture of our mobile and back office apps
• Develop tests (our religion is TDD)
• Write entirely new code, maintain and update existing code
• Participate in the design conversation and improve our architecture

Qualifications Include:

• A bachelors degree in computer science and/or strong contributions to the coding community
• A strong grasp of computer science fundamentals
• Agile development practices and test-driven development
• A good sense of what looks good / feels good to consumers, or how you would like to order your coffee in a perfect world
• The ability to jump into a project and contribute immediately to both architecture and implementation
• Great communication and collaboration skills
• The ability to take pride in creating something important while gracefully sharing the credit with the rest of your team

Desired Experience:

• 1+ year of iOS development
• iOS apps in the App Store
• Experience with unit testing (OCUnit, OCMock, UI Automator, Kiwi, Cedar, etc.)
• Good Object Oriented design skills
• Multi-tier web applications

Pay:  $140k/year with full benefits package
