The People Bank ? Mississauga is currently looking for a Sanitation Supervisor - Midnight Shift for our client in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry located near Peterborough.

Your overarching responsibility will be to ensure that the production facility?s sanitation operation runs within regulatory and corporate requirements. An emphasis is placed on employee safety, product quality, and regulatory/HACCP/customer audits.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and supervision to the sanitation staff while promoting a positive labour/management relationship
• Ensure that all equipment and the environment is sanitized in an timely and effective manner
• Develop, verify, and maintain up-to-date plant sanitation related programs (SOPs, Sanitary PMs, Master Sanitation Plan, etc.)
• Ensure that staff carry out sanitation activities according to GMPs, SOPs, and lockout procedures
• Adhere to budget through the ongoing monitoring of consumables usage and labour costs

Qualifications:

• Completion of post-secondary education
• 2+ years of experience in a supervisory/management position in either sanitation or production in the food or pharmaceuticals industries
• Preference given to candidates with experience with HACCP
• Certified or extensive work experience regarding the supervisory responsibilities pertaining to WSIB and OSHA
• Proven leadership and staff development skills
• Demonstrated ability to quickly and effectively solve complex problems
• Ability to juggle multiple competing priorities simultaneously
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills
• Experienced in unionized production environments
• Proficient with MS Office and Lotus Notes
• Knowledge of all pertinent codes and regulations (OHSA, HACCP, CFIA, etc)
