Job Description:

The Inventory Accountant position will be responsible for recording actual inventory movements and activities at warehouses and manufacturing sites. This person will also work directly with cost accounting personnel and assisting with standard costing and researching cost variances. Position is very cross functional and will play an important role in the organization. Responsibilities:

• Recording of inventory transactions and resolving posting errors
• Inventory adjustments including warehouse transfers, cycle counts and inventory disposals
• Ensuring payments are correct for quantities at approved costs
• Process supply chain transfers and receipts for third party manufacturing partners
• Reconcile inventory trial balance accounts to the G/L
• Assisting Cost Accounting Manager with reports and variance analysis
• Support for annual physical count
• Assist with work-in-process (WIP) activity/balances

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Bachelors degree
• Minimum 1 ½ + years of private industry experience to include  inventory background
• Also open to current public accounting candidates with CPG/inventory/manufacturing clients
• Strong Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, etc.)
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Professional and clear communication skills
