Job Description
Direct Reports:  2 Direct Reports (total team overseen comprised of 10 people)

Position reports to:  Financial Controller

 

Key Results Areas & Contributions

Management

  • Month end closing tasks planning and follow-up
  • Control in place to detect potential SOX and financial accounting issues; timely review of group internal policies changes and SOX controls
  • Control in place to detect potential tax and financial accounting issues; permanently keep updated with latest legislation changes in order to correctly implement them

Business / Financial

  • Weekly and monthly review of the working capital management; comparison vs. BP, RE and PY for absolute figures and days calculation
  • Supervise the quarterly preparation of CIT (reconciliation of provision Fixed Assets, Bad Debts, Stock) and monthly review of companies corporate tax (VAT, Withholding tax and all local specific Romanian taxes)
  • Monthly comparison of the data between ERP and BCS; ensure data transfer is accurate
  • Ensure cash forecast accuracy for short, medium and long term
  • Liaise with Shared Service & Admin Support to ensure proper process in place for booking, monitoring and invoices payments

People development

  • Provide assistance where necessary for all stakeholders in financial accounting area
  • Ensure consistent process of development planning and execution
  • Encourage culture of rewarding performance and proactive management of underperformance

Leadership

  • Challenge current processes/practices identifying improvements where applicable
  • Review monthly variances to gain full understanding and drive change

Relationships

  • Liaise with Head Office and auditors on regular and ad hoc requests and issues

Growth & Innovation

  • Review current processes with a view to continuous improvement with the business function & Finance function
  • Create work models in order to save time and ensure accuracy

 

Eligibility Criteria, Values, Skills

Eligibility Criteria

  • University degree (economic studies)
  • 10-12 years of experience in accounting and finance
  • 2 years of managerial experience
  • Very good knowledge of local GAAP & IFRS
  • Strong working experience in local taxation
  • Good understanding of cash management and treasury issues
  • Excellent computer skills
  • English – advanced level
