Palace Gate Corporation has a client currently looking for a back-end web developer in Chicago’s near north suburbs.  Our client is in the eCommerce Industry.    This is a 3-6 month contract to hire position.
 
This position reports to the Manager of Web Development.
                                          
Required Skills and Experience:
•     BS in Computer Science or comparable experience
•     3-5+ years’ experience designing and developing web-based applications using C# and ASP.NET
•     Experience using C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, SQL, stored procedures
•     Good working knowledge of SQL language and Microsoft SQL Server
•     Experience with jQuery a big plus 
•     IIS and SQL Server administration a plus
•     Ability to work efficiently and meet project deadlines with minimal supervision
•     Ability to analyze business problems and provide accurate development estimates
•     Good communication skills and experience working with business stakeholders and web designers
 
Role and Responsibly:
Complete product development lifecycle of ASP.NET applications, including participation in requirements gathering, application design, developing code, testing, deployment and maintenance.
•             Collaborate with project manager and business analysts to identify areas where technical solutions can be applied to improve accuracy and productivity. 
•             Participate in technical design meetings with other programmers and assist in definition of web system architecture.
•             Maintain, support, debug, and enhance existing web applications.
•             Develop n-tier, web-based applications.
•             Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and communicate progress.
•             Write and maintain software documentation.
