The successful candidate will possess a Mechanical Engineer degree with either a BSME or BSMET.

The person should have 7 years of progressive experience in designing machinery from components to subsystems to overall project responsibility of a machine. Familiarity with heat transfer, strength of materials, specification of blowers and their associated motors is required.

The candidate would have experience in power distribution for machinery design. This person would be very familiar with electrical power devices such as contactors, distribution blocks, disconnects, switches, fuses and such. The person would also know ladder diagram logic. Person would be familiar with equipment that is 480 volt 3 phase to 24 V DC.

Person will have to do analysis, create layouts and work with Designers to complete detailed drawings. The engineer will audit drawings per a procedure and create Bills of Material to match the drawing.

Proficiency in programs such as Pro E or SolidWorks or SolidEdge is acceptable. Layouts and drawings would take 40% of this person’s time.
