Job Description
Responsibilities:
Manages automated dispense operations within the plant, as well as other departments as directed.
May include serving as the second level manager/leader over production supervisors, assisting with developing production strategies and measurements, and typically managing multiple departments.
Supervises staff to include hiring, training, evaluating performance, providing compensation recommendations, determining disciplinary actions when necessary.
Manages the production operations of the plant, which includes the implementation and administration of safety initiatives, production programs, schedules and applicable product and quality improvement measures, and related areas.
Manages various activities among departments, such as maintenance, materials, and quality control to implement, monitor, and update operations, processes, equipment, and related areas.
Assists with developing and implementing an overall safety programs, production and manufacturing strategy in the plant, such as plant metrics, resource allocation, budget development, and capital and process improvement projects; ensures applicable measurements are met.
Develops, analyzes and reviews a variety of production reports to improve costs, safety, employee commitment, production lines, quality, efficiency, cycle times, volumes, and implements management changes as required.
Develops appropriate policies and procedures to ensure compliance with manufacturing or operational principles and practices and applicalbe laws, rules and regulations
Assists with developing and managing capital and process improvement products, receives and provides technical or operational direction, and amy inspect and approve projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
4-6 years of production or quality control experience, 2 years of supervisory experience
Automated Dispense batch processing a plus
Demonstrated capital equipment installation & project management
Developing and analyzing production and plant reports
Appling broad engineering, production, and operations management principles and practices
