Job Description:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive, practical audit plan of risk-based financial/operational audit coverage with emphasis on assessment of internal controls, with particular focus on internal controls over financial reporting (SOX 404)
• Supervise a staff of up to 5 professionals plus periodic external contractor resources
• Develop and manage an operating budget
• Develop individual audit work programs
• Provide counsel and monitor/audit activities to help ensure conformance with professional accounting and auditing standards.
• Provide guidance and oversight to ensure effective audit planning, fieldwork and closure activities
• Identify deficient conditions and causes; evaluate audit results and internal control adequacy; and develop practical recommendations
• Prepare, review, and approve audit reports
• Facilitate the annual internal control self assessment process
• Support continuous auditing initiatives
• Perform recruiting/hiring, training, evaluation of staff performance and outplacement to functional positions within the company
• Establish and maintain an working relationship with all levels of management, auditees, peers, subordinates and external networking contacts
• Perform special reviews and projects at the request of Senior Management, Legal, Business Conduct or the Board Audit Committee

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a B.S. in Accounting and at least 15 years experience

• 5 years experience in Public Accounting

• CPA designation

• Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience

• Ability to travel 25 - 50%

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Sarbanes-Oxley 404 experience preferred
• Financial and internal control background
