Location: Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX

Job Description:

The position will work with the IT and Business team to document plans for migrating all interfacing applications. The position reports regularly to management on the migration strategy, challenges and project status. Looks for common groupings of key data elements, conducts research, works with data owners to determine data migration needs and methods, is familiar with a variety of data formats and data movement methods and tools, and collects data which will help in continual product development to meet client needs. Develop documentation of results and participate in communication or presentation of results. This individual will collaborate with multiple entities to analyze and document the current interfaces, functions and processes of individual or combined applications.

 

The responsibilities for this position will be:
Document existing environment and describing the technical functions as well as the business functions involved.
Excellent analytical skills, coupled with problem solving skills and the ability to determine and communicate details related to a system hardware and software migration.
Proven ability to manage multiple efforts concurrently
Ability to keep complex efforts moving forward quickly while exercising an appropriate level of discipline.

Qualification Needed:
Advanced knowledge of the development of airline software applications on a variety of computing platforms including; z/OS, TPF, Linux, and Unix
Must be able to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
Experience with programming languages; JCL, COBOL, PL1, Easytrieve Plus, C/C++, BAL, REXX, CLIST, SYNCSORT, MARKIV, HANDYMAN
Recent experience with the Sabre commercial environment, minimum 5 years? experience
Experience with tools that assist with data analysis such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access or Visio
Experience with a variety of data storage techniques and platforms, e.g. relational databases or flat files
System re-engineering or decomposition experience
Highly developed interpersonal as well as organizational skills required
Excellent time management, multi-tasking and organizational skills as well as the ability to work under the pressure of deadlines in a fast-paced and changing environment
Experience with transforming and migrating data between different platforms
Strong business process and requirements analysis skills
Must be able to analyze data using various statistical methods in order to identify data patterns
Excellent verbal/written communication and facilitation skills.
Superior analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
Strong knowledge of design techniques and principals involved in high volume messaging systems
Agile methodology experience desired
The ability to develop and maintain successful working relationships across departmental lines and respond quickly and accurately to requirements
