Database Developer / Administrator

Summary:

The McIntyre Group is seeking an exceptional Database Developer / Administrator to add to a Premiere New York City firm’s team. As a key member of our technology team, The Database Developer / Administrator will be responsible for the on-going design, development and production of our database products. The incumbent will design, analyze, develop, code, test, debug, and document technology solutions to integrate data from a variety of internal and external data sources.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze, design, develop, maintain and tune large SQL Server databases
• Design and maintain complex SSIS and T-SQL based ETL processes
• Develop .NET applications using C# and also support other developers in use/accessing of data
• Interact with data vendors and clients to determine requirements and specifications

Requirements:

• BA / BS Computer Science or related discipline
• 3+ years T-SQL programming experience
• 3+ years as Database Administrator supporting SQL Server 2005, 2008 with SAN Infrastructure and .NET development experience
• SQL Server administration, database analysis and design, database tuning and optimization, Integration Services (SSIS), advanced SQL query capabilities
• Good verbal and written communications skills to work with vendors and co-workers
• Ability to learn quickly and think outside of the box

Preferred:

• Experience working with Agile / SCRUM shop
• Knowledge / familiarity in financial markets, brokerage or asset management industries
