Q Analyst is seeking a Web Developer II for a 5 month+ contract for their client located in Seattle, WA.

 
Our client’s Marketplace Technology Group is looking for a Web Developer II who will work with the Seller experience & design team to drive consistency, measurement, & usability improvements across our online Seller tools. The ideal candidate will have a wide range of web skills, and is excited about new web development techniques and practices.

The web developer role will be responsible for limited scope web design and development to improve consistency in our most popular tools by implementing our Seller Design Standards. To improve our speed to customers, you will be responsible for optimizing our HTML and CSS implementation across all tools. You will be asked to flex your javascript muscle and help build highly interactive web applications using the latest techniques. You will work with designers & usability experts, and SDEs to identify and implement solutions to improve our overall site experience.

Required Qualifications & Skills:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with web APIs and development frameworks.
• Well-rounded knowledge of web serving and desktop computing needs.
• Experience developing web applications in: PERL, C++, Java, Javascript.
• Experience with HTML, CSS and user interface design.
• Familiarity with using version control systems.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Examples of delivering a project using latest interactive web experiences (whether Ajax, Flex, or Silverlight)
• Desire to work in a startup style environment, where iteration is encouraged
• Self-starter
