Job Description
Local Staffing Agency is in growth mode and is seeking an Administrative Assistant / Bookkeeper to assist in day to day operations of the office. This individual will perform administrative and office support activities for the President of the company. Strong communication, writing, and customer service skills are a must. This is a 30 to 40 hour opportunity for the time being. You will be working in a fun, energetic and busy environment. We need a big personality to work with a fun group of passionate work alcoholics!
Duties include:
- Report directly to the President with various levels of management to gather information pertaining to key issues
- Assisted in hiring procedures, screening applicants, scheduled interview appointments
- Must know to file 940 and 941
- Fielding telephone calls, word processing, filing, and faxing.
- Monthly billings for the company
- Commission reports for the internal Recruiter Managers
- Know how to use EFTPS a new system the IRS uses
- Administered employment assessments
- Keep the company compliant
- Assist in completion of Form I-9 and W-4 for contractors
- Assist with customer-service, assess assignments to determine the prioritization of work flow; screen calls and sort mail
- Maintain a filing system
- Managed all aspects of billing, A/R and A/P
- Established and maintained related employee files reflecting salary increases, deductions, benefits; and W-2 withholdings exercising a high level of confidentiality
- Bank Account reconciliation
- Cash Receipts
- Disbursements
- Preparation of daily bank deposits
- Address a myriad of problems and issues requiring immediate attention and resolve
- Exercised independent judgment with high level of confidentiality
