Reports to the Vice President of Accounting, assists in directing the organization’s accounting group in general areas of accounting, financial reporting and financial control implementation and review.

Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain the organization’s accounting principles, practices and procedures.
• Oversee the preparation and evaluation of budgets and other financial operating reports.
• Analyze financial results, and utilize financial metrics to identify trends, opportunities and actionable items.
• Presents findings and recommendations to Vice President of Accounting and Top Management.
• Ensures books and records are accurate and closed in a timely manner on a monthly basis.
• Liaison with auditors as needed during interim, ad hoc and year-end periods.
• Hire, lead and develop direct reports.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including strong Excel (macros, pivot tables, linking, etc.) and Access skills.
• Experience with an ERP System, Great Plains a plus.
• Strong analytical, facilitation, and problem-solving, to include writing functional policies and procedures.
• Strong aptitude for working with numbers.
• Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
• A team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to travel 10% of the time.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred. CPA Designation preferred.
• 5 plus years accounting experience.
• 5 plus years healthcare industry.
• 3 years minimum management experience.
