Volt Technical Resources has a LONG TERM Sr. Network Test Engineer position with our Software Client in Redmond, WA who has very strong relationships with major device manufacturers and gains exposure to new technologies and devices long before anyone else - which offers a great opportunity to you! This team provides stability for the network by verifying all device configurations and code (IOS) in a Test Lab Environment. The Test Engineers working in the lab, test new and existing networking devices and technologies, verifying no issues remain unresolved prior to being introduced into Production.

You will work as a Sr. Network Engineer in the lab, testing plans, executing test cases, recording results and evaluating issues to resolution. You will be assigned a number of projects and receive new requests daily. This is an exciting and fun role for you to be in, as you will get to 'play' with cutting edge technology and be exposed to devices which others in a smaller network environment may not be privy to!

Network Engineer (Sr. Level) Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in Testing Network Technologies in a Lab Environment (skilled testing experience).
• Experience working with large complex networks (high-end and high-throughput - i.e. the network has a 550gigs/second throughput).
• Extensive experience with networking technologies/devices to include:
  1. F5 Networks, Cisco, Juniper, Blade, Citrix, Broadcom Hardware.
  2. Protocols: IPv6, ACL, STP, MSTP.
• Passion for Testing - Thoroughly interrogate the code to find issues.

• Great communication and documentation skills (this person will be documenting testing results and also communicating to both suppliers and internal customers).
