A critical part of this product investment is the Enterprise Architect role, which is responsible for setting direction of the technical roadmap, and the supporting technical architecture, for the corporation for the marketing services and data products. This corporate view covers multiple products and applications and involves evaluating factors such as market and technology trends, business goals, corporate vision and cost considerations. The Enterprise Architect focuses on identifying solution patterns, as well as evangelizing and enforcing standards, in order to increase reusability across the company. The Enterprise Architect may also be called upon to provide domain expertise, performance analysis and remediation recommendations, in order to ensure clients/projects are properly serviced.
This role is about designing or diagnosing n-tier secure real-time & analytical applications that range from 2 nines to 5 nines of availability and recognized as an expert using SOA methodologies or light-weight programming stack where appropriate. Application range from commercial / open source to internally developed applications.
Responsibilities:
*Responsible for creating technical reference architectures, standards, and providing input on the technical/reference architecture.
*Audit the standards created by the Architecture Review Board / Delivery Review Board, Solutions Review Board.
*Reviews infrastructure and software architectures and designs and makes recommendations on viability, improvements, and adjudication input when conflicts or disagreements arise.
*Assist with enterprise architectures that are added to the corporate standards for future design/client implementations.
*Responsible for creating and providing input on the marketing services enterprise technical roadmaps, including: identifying the capability that is the focus of the roadmap, identifying critical system requirements and their targets; assessing major technology areas; assessing multi-national impact (if applicable); performing prototyping / POC of the new technologies, identifying technology drivers, targets, and helping with technology direction; providing technical alternatives; providing time & cost implications.
*Accountable for providing input on large scope solutions or internal project architecture that are outside the corporate standards.
*Responsible for owning enterprise architecture deliverables, including: review of the requirements and assumptions; systems infrastructure diagrams; enterprise Software component architecture (3rd party and Acxiom developed); high-level dataflow, process, and interaction diagrams; initial financial analysis (if GPE Architecture-driven process); reviewing and providing feedback on development artifacts.
*Responsible for developing enterprise architecture standards and providing facilitation, communication, and education around those standards.
*Accounts for multi-national deployment requirements when and where applicable.
*Collaborates on Enterprise Continuous Improvement.
*Responsible for lab & technology pioneering, including POC, database, technology evaluation and certification.
*Responsible for staying up-to-date with emerging industry/technology trends.
*Responsible for covering several EA architecture domains (Security, Infrastructure, Accountable for understanding Acxiom development methodologies as well as other processes across the company (i.e. procurement, data center, etc.) in order to accomplish tasks.
