Must Have:

Minimum of 5 years' experience with Windows and Unix environments

Ability to create detailed conceptual, logical and physical architectures

Strong knowledge of multiple logging and event generation mechanisms

Strong knowledge of end-to-end event generation and event processing techniques, from endpoint to ticketing system

Strong knowledge of multiple network and data center device management systems

Well conversant in scripting languages such as Shell, Perl & Python

Well conversant in device management systems, monitoring tools and techniques

Understanding of Data Center operations, server administration processes, and network and communication protocols

Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills

Very good communication skills

Ability to deal with partners and peers located worldwide

BS degree in an Engineering or Technical field or equivalent work experience

Preferred:

Knowledge of ITIL will be a great advantage

Familiar with open source tools such as Nagios and MRTG

Familiarity with device management tools of the BladeLogic family will be a great advantage
