Job Description:

Our customer is seeking an EMC Storage Architect preferably a senior storage engineer with EMC (EMCISA – Expert level) certification and at least 7 years of experience in designing and implementing EMC SANs.

Responsibilities:

• Focus on supporting customer initiatives in the Backup and DR markets.
• Install, configure & manage, troubleshoot a controlled POC or production environment.
• Present on the product and deliver the value proposition.
• Technical concepts to understand value/benefit of product.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 8 years of domain experience in the networking industry as an architect, systems engineer, or delivery engineer
• Knowledge of Ethernet, TCP/IP, Fibre Channel, ATM, FCoE architecture
• Knowledge of VTL, NDMP, CIFS and NFS storage protocols
• Knowledge of VMware use cases and productivity applications
• Knowledge of UNIX and/or Linux knowledge including system administration, network administration, debugging and troubleshooting is desirable.
• Detailed knowledge of all of the BRS Core Products: Data Domain, Avamar, NetWorker, EMC Disk Library (EDL), Disk Library for Mainframe (DLM), Data Protection Advisor (DPA)
• Detailed Knowledge of all of the Backup and DR applications: Netbackup w/ OST, TSM, CommVault, Backupexec
• Specialized Knowledge of one or more of: IBM, Netapp, Quantum, Sepaton, Exagrid, Archiving Solutions, Exchange, Oracle, Informix, SharePoint, MS SQL, SAP
